Million Dollar Body

Well, it's a new year and I've started a new round of P90X! One week down and I'm doing great (I've got the soreness and the "battle wounds" to prove it from when my exercise band snapped on me... ouch!). I'm pleased with my performance so far, it's the best I've ever DONE! So, I can't wait to see what I can do at the end of this round!
In addition to continuing my personal success I have now been placed with the honor of being a Million Dollar Body coach! If you are using a Beachbody product (P90, P90X, Slim in 6, Turbo Jam, Yoga Booty Ballet, Hip Hop Abs, Project You... or any of their advanced versions) please don't hesitate to contact me because I'd love to help you reach your goals!
If you join the MDB Club and submit your success story you will be in the running for AWESOME cash prizes! Also, if you log into WOWY each day you 'll get your chance to win $300 (whether you are a club member or not).
So, check out my story and let me help you!

Still not good at updating this...

You can find me over on MySpace - http://www.myspace.com/ladyofshalott

I update there... and I try to update my Beachbody.com threads with workout updates.
Right now I'm doing a Turbo Jam and Slim in 6 mix up. Boy, my buns are burning! I've dropped some more pounds, though... so it's all cool. Also, I'm signing up to be a certified Turbo Kick instructor in December and I've already started talking to some gyms in the area who seem interested to learn more about the program.
Cross your fingers!

Well, I'm back

Again, I abandon you journal! It's because I have soooo many other places I go online! Mostly, MySpace!
Well, I'm going to try and use this as my exercise journal again.
My current plan is to do a round of Slim in 6, starting on Saturday, to try to lose the last of this fat that I want to burn. THEN, I want to do a complete round of P90X and try to avoid getting majorly ill! So, those are the plans.

I just got back from Tony Horton's Fitness Camp, and I tell ya... it was a great weekend!
Here's a post I sent out to my support circle on MyBeachbody:

"I just got back from the most wonderful weekend ever! I just attended the Tony Horton Live Chicago camp!
One thing that stuck out this weekend that I wan't to share were those nasty little words "I can't." Tony would have nothing of them. Any time anyone uttered those words he would make them drop and give them 20. Why? Because "I can't" doesn't really exist. Instead, he prefers the phrase "I currently struggle with." On my coaching thread in the past I've mentioned how "I can't" usually means "I don't want to," in regards to the food we put into our mouths or whether or not we decide to workout. The thing is YOU CAN. You just have to do something. If you are struggling with a move that's an even better reason to keep doing it... to improve. I tell you... I learned what I could do this weekend. For the first time ever I cranked out 30 V-up roll-ups (P90X people know what I'm talking about there)... not to mention that I held half moon pose in yoga!!!! I MEAN... c'mon! YOU CAN. I ca! n. We can.
It's in your head and heart and YOU CAN do it. Just try... don't give up. If you get sick, take a break to get a little better, but don't give up... the same things goes if you injure yourself. You can still do something, even if it's just making sure that your on target with your diet.
So, don't let yourself come up with excuses anymore... and anytime you hear yourself muttering "I can't" then drop and give yourself 20!

:-) "

Rising from the ashes

So, let's admit it... I don't post here often. There are so many sites on the internet that I visit each day that it's really hard to keep up with them all.
I fell off the bandwagon in February. It happened for many reasons. I wasn't eating enough, I wasn't sleeping enough, and I got slapped in the face with a huge emotional letdown that caused an emotional breakdown.
I was completely down for about a week and have been rebuilding myself since then.
I am going to start P90X again, from the beginning, in 1 and 1/2 weeks time.
This time I am keeping a food journal... this way I can make sure that I am eating enough of the right things to keep myself going.
In the meantime... I've been doing P90 and P90 Masters (with the occassional X workout) to keep myself in physical shape.
I'm ready to try this again.
Back in the saddle.

P90X Week Three

This should actually be week four, but during week two I had a bit of a setback, so I decided to tack an extra week onto phase one before going into the phase one recovery week. I had the fallout due to very good things, though... quite happy things! It was hard to get back in from that fallout, though. I've really been pushing it this last week and a half. My energy isn't quite where it needs to be, and I've been having some bad eating days sneaking in. I should know better because the bad eating always makes me feel sick to my stomach! Bad psyknife!!! *slaps hand with ruler*
I've been doing my workouts, but I'm just not putting as much into them as I'd like. I am getting stronger, though, I can tell... I've been improving with the workouts each time I do them. Core Synergistics is still the hardest one for me. Well, that one and Yoga X (because of balance and flexibility issues). I've been rather sore this week... not quite sure why. Kenpo X is my favorite. I really like the kick-butt aspect of it.
I haven't lost any weight yet... in fact, I think I've gained a few pounds. That's probably due to some of my crappy eating, though. It could also be from muscle development, though. I feel harder... more toned. But at the same time I've been feeling fat lately. I shouldn't feel that way, though. All I need to do is go and look at my comparison shots to see how far I've come. I still want to go farther, though. I hope to be fully back on this horse soon. No more crap eating! I need more energy!!!
OK, enough of my ranting.
Cheers!

P90X Day Eight - Core Synergistics

One week completed, another week begun!
I did a little better with Core Synergistics today. My hip bruises are healing nicely. This time, thanks to advice from Mr. Briggs, I placed some blankets over my mat for extra padding. This made it much less painful to do the banana rolls and the bow to boat moves. I nailed them much better today. Still have to keep my legs high for the banana pose, though, otherwise my back isn't flat on the floor.
Those prison cell pushups and push up walks still kill me, though! Yowzers! Craziness!!!
Okay, that's it, I think :-D

P90X Day Seven - Rest

Did some stretching... recovering... took a nice, looooong walk. 'Nough said :-D

P90X Day Six - Kenpo X

This workout is great! It is great for a stress reliever... just punch and kick the frustration away! I went to town on this workout! It didn't feel like too terribly much while I was doing it, but the next day I really realized how much butt it really kicked! Booyah.

P90X Day Five - Legs and Back

I slept through my alarm in the morning, doh, so I did the workout when I got home from work. This workout is great!!! Those wallsquats are killer, though, especially the single leg ones! I don't think my legs have ever quaked so much before! It was crazy! I made it through the one minute, though. Go me!
I had to use my bands because I don't have a chin up bar, nor do I have anywhere in my apt where one can be used. Stupid cheap doorframes (or lack there of)! Right now I'm wrapping the band around some of the pipes in the ceiling in my apt. The pipes are very sturdy and seem to be doing the trick right now. Good stuff.
I then went and did Ab Ripper 200 instead of Ab Ripper X... I'm gonna move up to Ab Ripper X for phase 2. My abs are still not quite strong enough.
It felt good, though. I sweated like a madwoman and burned over 700 calories by the time it was all over!
